Story
I remember vividly my first encounter with the YMCA.
My siblings and I spent all of the July-August school break learning to swim there. I was about 10 years old. Although, it was very far from where we lived my parents thought it was a safe environment for us during the end of term holidays.
Simply because of the YMCA's history, values and their Essential buildings blocks etc.
Two years ago when I walked 50kms in Tobago my heart smiled when I saw a new YMCA on Shivan Road. Yes the YMCA continues to do good work with the youths of our nation.
Fast forward, yes I endorse the great works of the Y, their values and building blocks now more than ever. It's essential for our youth and youth development etc .
A safe haven for our youth and young adults while finding their way.
