We Fight chest, heart & stroke illnesses to Improve the lives of people across NI

Story

Belfast Firewalk was created by my friend Jennie Wallace. After suffering a devastating stroke in 2023 Jennie lost the use of her left leg & arm. With support from NICHS Jennie learned to walk again, and now she's going to learn to walk on fire! Woohoooo!!!

Most of you know that the Northern Ireland Chest, Heart & Stroke Association is an important charity to me and my family after Dad suffered a massive Stroke in 2016. As we know the impact can be devastating for both the person and their families. This is why I am joining Jennie (and a few other crazies) to raise funds to help improve the lives of Stroke survivors and for those around them through emotional, practical and financial support from the charity. So on the 3rd of May we will all be doing a fire walk with bare feet on hot coals. Whoop whoop. Thanks in advance :-)

About the charity

NICHS is leading the fight against chest, heart and stroke illnesses in NI. We provide support for people affected, and work to prevent these illnesses by delivering health checks and health promotion programmes, funding research and campaigning for improved care, treatment and awareness.
