Story
This year, we'll be attempting our toughest ultramarathon yet. With our feet in the Atlantic Ocean on the coast of Namibia, we will run through desert dunes and along rocky ridges, finishing by climbing Mt. Brandberg, this stunning country's tallest mountain. It’s all to raise money to end modern slavery.
It has been among the greatest and most challenging times of our lives to run side by side across some of Europe's toughest terrain in support of the TRIBE Freedom Foundation. From the Azores, to Croatia, from black sand beaches to sun-bleached mountain ridges, we've run more than 1350km between us over 4 ultramarathons.
Over 5 days, we will run on average more than a marathon a day in temperatures exceeding 30 degrees celsius. We will be self-supporting and self-navigating, looking after each other, as well as the other runners tackling this one-of-a-kind race.
We do this because we love what this kind of challenge forces our minds and bodies to do but also because we believe wholeheartedly in the cause, about which you can read more below. We need your support more than ever this year and are grateful for every donation, large or small.
With love,
Julian & James x
