Story
Eric Liddell, 400m gold medallist 100 years ago at the Paris 1924 Olympics and celebrated in Chariots of Fire, gave his life to serving others. His service continues in the work of the Eric Liddell Community, an Edinburgh based charity providing support for people with dementia and their carers. My lovely Dad, Geoff Bray, died with dementia. Had this charity existed in Cardiff, Dad would have loved all the activities that they offer and benefited from their services.
Because of our family connection with Edinburgh and my desire to honour the legacy of Eric Liddell, I am challenging myself to run/walk (dependent on knees!) 100km during the month of September- 1km for each of the 100 years since his Olympic win.
