On the 4th October I’ll be taking on my biggest challenge yet. I will be hiking Mount Toubkal (4,167 meters) the highest peak in the Atlas mountains in memory of my Dad.

Dad sadly lost his short battle with cancer in September 2022. During his treatment and those difficult times he received incredible support from the team at the Robert Ogden centre in Harrogate and the Macmillan volunteers who became like family to mum and dad during this incredibly tough time. Dad was a fighter, a Yorkshireman through and through and remained incredibly positive throughout his diagnosis. I hope I will have a snippet of his bravery and determination during my trek in the mountains. One thing I know is that he will be with me and in my thoughts every step of the way. It will be a time to reflect and remember the times we shared and the lifetime of memories our family with cherish forever.

To my friends and family who are battling and those we have sadly lost, this is my way to remember all our loved ones and cherish the time we spent together.
