Story
St Ann's Hospice cared for our lovely mother, mother-in-law, Nana, bonus-mum, and friend, Julia Jessup in December of 2022.
Julia fought hard through her illness and defied the odds to live for twice as long as predicted for her type of cancer. Towards the end, all of the staff at St Ann's Hospice were kind, empathetic and provided outstanding care to her during her stay with them.
The work that St Ann's do is invaluable to patients and their families and we would love to raise some funds to enable them to continue their work into the future. On 13th October a group of us will be running the Manchester half marathon.
As part of our preparations for the event, some of us will also be running some local 10km races to get us ready for the big day! Anyone is welcome to join us on these too, the more the merrier.
On 27th July we will be running the Tatton Park 10km and on the 1st September we plan to participate in the Altrincham 10km.
Both of these events raise money for the Christie Hospital Charity which is where all of Julia's cancer treatment took place. Her treatment there was exceptional.

We also hope to join in with some of the local Park Runs throughout the coming months, if anyone would like to join us please let us know!
This is a team fundraising effort from a number of Julia's biggest fans (of which she had many), some of which have never run before!
A HUGE thank you to the following people, some of Julia’s favourite humans who are taking part on October 13th:
Charlie Jessup-Neary, Daisy Strang, Guy Storey, Michael Power, Will Harrison, Amelia Batho, Matt Brugge, Sam Pacey, Laura Rooney, Max Storey, Myles Storey, Evie Storey and Piers Storey.
