Story

In July 2025, I have challenged myself to take on the Thames Path Mighty Hike once again to help raise money for people living with cancer.

Many of you will know that I completed the same hike 6 years ago but I’ve since had 4 hip surgeries and one total joint replacement so I’ll be bionic this time 🤖🦾

Cancer seems to have been an awful theme in my life for the last 12 months although thankfully I have not had personal experience. Diagnoses of friends and family have been horribly regular in 2024 and have continued in 2025 and we have now lost my incredible friend Saskia, whose fight with Stage 4 cancer ended on 26 January. She was one of the kindest, warmest, most beautiful souls that I’ve met and it is so unfair that she has been ripped away from her family and friends when she was so full of life and joy.

I'd be so grateful if you could help me reach (or ideally smash!) my £250 pledge, which can pay for a Macmillan Nurse for one day. This could provide people living with cancer and their families essential medical, practical and emotional support.

Thank you!
