Story
My challenge is to cycle a minimum of 10 miles every day during May to raise money for Christian Aid.
Back in 2021, I took part in Christian Aid’s “300,000 steps in May” challenge and managed to raise over £1000 whilst walking over 500,000 steps during the 4th wettest May on record. I walked with 28 different companions and 5 dogs!
I acquired a new bike in January and retired my faithful drop-handlebar Dawes Horizon after 34 years of faithful service. I am looking forward to sharing the challenge with friends and family members and hope to involve as many people as possible in cycling with me while raising much needed funds to help the poorest of the poor.
"Every Christian Aid Week, people across Britain and Ireland step out in love for our global neighbours in a joyful celebration of our determination to change the world, through our gifts, prayers and actions. This Christian Aid Week (14-20 May), we stand with farmers in Malawi like Esther, determined women who want to make their childrens dreams come true and who will work to achieve great things. By donating now, your gift could help people around the world secure a safer, happier future for their children and grandchildren, and send a powerful message that we believe poverty can be beaten."
