Story
Our beautiful and brave mum lost her life to pancreatic cancer on 12 October 2024. Mum was a carer her whole life and chose to be cared for at her local hospice. The expert doctors, nurses, healthcare workers and volunteers at Rowan's made mum feel well looked after with dignity and compassion.
It was a special place for mum and us to be in her final days. A 'home from home'. We will be forever grateful mum had the opportunity to be at such a peaceful and caring place.
Surprisingly only 10% of the £7.8 million annual cost required for Rowans to provide expert hospice care is provided by the government. The Rowans Hospice is a charity and this is why donation pages like these are so important to ensure their wonderful and crucial work can continue.
