Story
This is my 36th year working for the NHS and I have the opportunity to combine a personal challenge with raising money for a wonderful cause to give something back to the NHS.
This October, I'll embark on a ten-day trek to conquer the summit of Mount Kilimanjaro in support of the University Hospitals Dorset NHS Charity. Standing tall at 5895 meters, Kilimanjaro reigns as the highest peak on the African continent.
Over the last few years in particular I have seen the brilliant work that the hospital charity does to provide enhanced facilities and state of the art equipment for patients. Although many of the people I know may not live in Dorset , I hope that through your generosity you will welcome the opportunity for someone experiencing hospital treatment to have their experience made just that little easier.
£10 could help fund activities for patients with dementia.
£15 could fund items needed by the homeless team such as clothes, and shoes.
£50 could fund a post operative bra for a woman following breast cancer surgery.
£100 could fund bereavement support for families experiencing baby loss.
As I take on this challenge, know that every step I take is fuelled by your kindness and generosity. I've personally funded this expedition, ensuring that 100% of your donation goes directly to the charity, where it will make a tangible difference in the lives of those who need it most.
