Story
Friends, family, and all who see this,
Myself family and friends are embarking on a journey from Birmingham City St Andrew's stadium, passing through Villa Park, The Hawthorns, Walsall's Bescot Stadium, and ending at Wolves Molineux on the 8th June with friends and family.
I'm doing this to raise funds for the Royal Wolverhampton Trust children's ward garden appeal.
During lockdown, I spent 14 months at New Cross Children's ward, recovering from Complex Regional Pain Syndrome following a recent operation.
Despite the challenges, I had amazing support networks, especially from the dedicated staff, nurses, and doctors who provided excellent care.
Isolation was tough on the ward, but moments in the outdoor garden offered respite from institutional life. Playing table tennis there created memories with staff and family.
The garden is in need of a freshen up and it is important that the outdoor area is updated so the garden can continue offering children and familes a place to take a break.
With friends and family , I will be challening myself to complete the walk on my prosthetic leg and will use my wheelchair in segements to esure I can finish the walk.
I have always wanted to give back after my amputation and recovery so to be able to raise funds for a charity that is close to me and my family only feels right.
