Story

Dear supporters,

I am reaching out to you today with a grateful heart, as I embark on a personal swimming challenge to raise funds for lifesaving equipment at Huntsville Hospital. On July 28, 2024, I will be taking on a 9km swim from Algonquin Outfitters dock downtown Huntsville, up the Muskoka River to Lake Vernon, around Gallagher's Island and back.

The need for vital medical equipment at our local hospital is constant, and millions of dollars are required annually to keep pace with advancing technology. It may come as a surprise, but hospitals do not receive funding from the province for capital equipment. In fact, an astounding 90% of the cost of new equipment comes from donated dollars.

By supporting my fundraising efforts, you will be directly contributing to the very best local healthcare that benefits us all.

I am truly grateful for any contribution you can make towards my target amount of CAD $5,000. Thank you!

Warm regards,

Joy Jarvis
