Journey for Wildness - Walking in the footsteps of my ancestors
Fundraising for The John Muir Trust
Fundraising for The John Muir Trust
I am raising money for the John Muir Trust who are a great conservation organisation honouring the memory of John Muir. He emigrated from Scotland to the USA and helped to ensure that much of the natural landscape of that country has been protected in the form of National Parks. I emigrated from the USA and eventually ended up living in Scotland for a long time. I worked as a ranger on the Knoydart Peninsula where the John Muir Trust first embarked on their mission to protect wild places and I will be walking back there starting at the east end of Loch Tay and going through my ancestral homelands in Glen Lyon, the Great Glen and Glen Garry before arriving at Lì and Coire Dhorrcail on the south shore of Loch Hourn and the north flank of Ladhar Bheinn.
*UPDATE* - I plan on starting the walk on the 5th of July. Get ready for more updates in the thread below.
I hope you will support me by contributing to the John Muir Trust and feel free to join me on my journey. I will be sending regular updates to the John Muir Trust.
