Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
My Amalie is now 14 years old, some of you may know she had a devastating illness as a baby which left her with significant brain damage: in medical terms; 4 limb cerebal palsy & severe visual impairment. Back in 2014 we fought to get her into St Roses school and we won the tribunal against the council and have not looked back ever since.
The dedication of the school staff is truly remarkable. They go above and beyond to create an inclusive and nurturing environment for all the children working on individual programmes according to their needs. St Roses are constantly seeking funding to update the school buildings and acquire new equipment. This is now my time to give something back.
I am running an obscene amount of miles, 111 altogether non stop along the Warickshire, Oxfordshire, Birmingham canals on 29 June this year. The longest I've ever run was the London marathon back in 2000 so this is a biggie! I'm doing this with a wonderful friend, Nikki, who's very experienced in ultra's - this is a mega challenge, its going to be an emotional roller coaster with blood, sweat & tears to run (hobble) over the finish line!
Any contribution will make a meaningful difference in the lives of these special children and to St Roses and will give me the motivation to get through this!
