Story
Back in 2017 my younger brother Hugo at the young age of 16, was brave enough to talk openly about his own personal battle with depression, in front of his peers at school. He always lead from the front when it came to talking about mental health, anyone he knew him, would agree with me when i say he was very much a pioneer on such a taboo topic.
I was always inspired by the vulnerability he showed, how honest he was, because of that it gave me the strength to be open about my own struggles. There are so many things I miss about Hugo, but what I miss most is talking with him about anything & everything he was a great listener.
So in memory of him, I'm carrying on the work he started. As back in 2017 he cycled around Wales with my older brother to raise money for Place2Be.
Charities like Place2Be have never been so important with the increase in mental health, especially amongst children, which they specialise in.
One in six children and young people now have a diagnosable mental health issue. That’s five children in every classroom with a condition like depression or anxiety.
Place2Be is the UK's leading school-based mental health charity, providing support to children, families and school-based staff when they need it most.
Please help me support Place2Be’s vital work, and together we can make a real difference to children's mental health and ensure that children don’t have to face mental health problems alone.
Big love & thank you to everyone single one of you for your continued support.
