John was diagnosed with a Glioblastoma brain tumour in July 2019 and although he was given just 12-18 months to live, he proved the doctors and nurses wrong. With true Yorkshire grit he simply got on with things and carried on enjoying life, despite the gruelling treatment he faced.

Sadly, we always knew one day John would lose his fight against Glioblastoma, and unfortunately this happened much sooner than we imagined in May 2023.

We have set up ‘John’s Crew’ in his memory to raise money for Brain Tumour Research in the hope that one day, the war against Glioblastoma will be won.

On the 21st of June 2024, I will be cycling 100+ miles from Wolverhampton to Aberdovey. Any donations would be greatly appreciated to help support this charity.
