Spinnaker Tower Abseil · 6 July 2024

We exist to support the entire naval family

Story

I'm embarking on a thrilling challenge by abseiling down the iconic Spinnaker Tower, all to raise vital funds for The Royal Navy and Royal Marines Charity—a cause very close to my heart. This charity plays a crucial role in providing essential support to both serving and former naval service personnel and their families, enhancing their lives in meaningful ways. For me, this endeavor is deeply personal, as the naval community has significantly impacted my life and the lives of those around me. Although the prospect of facing my significant fear of heights is daunting, I am committed to pushing beyond my comfort zone. This act of courage symbolizes my dedication to giving back to a community that has given so much, making every step down the tower a step toward making a difference.

About the charity

The Royal Navy and Royal Marines Charity is the principle charity of the Royal Navy. Beneficiaries lie at the heart of the Royal Navy and Royal Marines Charity's purpose, it is our duty to remain focused on their needs. Since 2007, we have funded projects and facilities that boost morale for those who serve today. We also distribute millions of pounds annually to military charities which care for the children, families and veterans of the Royal Navy and Royal Marines.
