Story
Thank you for taking the time to visit my page.
Along with Jack, the Sams, and Tom, we will all be running the Madrid marathon at the end of April and raising money for It’s Time charity.
It’s Time aims to support young adults who have experienced the loss of one or both parents, as well as helping their family, friends, educational establishments and businesses to better support them. Your donation will help It’s Time to continue providing a community for young adults living through such a painful experience - with their Meet ‘n’ Grief sessions and Group therapy, as well as creating content to signpost young people towards supportive resources during their grief, and supportive guidance for universities and employers.
The boys have kindly agreed to run in memory of my dad, Rob, who died in May 2022 after a very short and aggressive cancer. I was lucky to get 28 years of Dad, but we want to continue supporting the young adults who are trying to navigate the world, whilst experiencing the loss and emptiness that my family have felt, and continue to feel.
Dad always believed in being active and pushing yourself, and continued to referee rugby to county level until just a couple of months before he died, even after the first major surgery. So, it feels appropriate for us to put the knees through 4 (or 5 or 6) hours of pain to try and raise a bit of money to support young adults going through such a painful and confusing time.
Thanks again for reading, and for donating whatever you can.
