Story
Hi everyone! I’m Josh, a first-year student at Staffordshire University, and I’ve been given a fantastic opportunity to help children in Kenya for 4 weeks next summer. I will be part of a team at a school, constructing a vibrant playground that would mean the world to the local children. I knew I had to do this when I first came across Play Action International at my university. I have not done anything like this before, fears and anxieties have often held me back. But this time, I’m motivated to achieve something truly meaningful and lasting.
Your generous support will enable Play Action International to create a legacy of play within the local community where so that we can create an environment where children's development and well-being are supported and children are able to learn essential skills that will allow them to reach their potential. Join us in creating a legacy of play, laughter, growth, and endless possibilities.
Our playgrounds and play programmes bring about remarkable changes:
- 98% of schools report increase in pupil attendance.
- 74% of children give 'The Playground' as a reason to attend school.
- 83% of teachers report improvements in children's attention and behaviour in classes.
Donate to play a key role in supporting our fundraisers to ensure these amazing projects can happen, ensuring that every swing, slide, and moment of fun in the classroom contributes to a brighter future for disadvantaged children at school and in the wider community. We're incredibly grateful for your support!
