Story
Josh and Akis from Rib Shack Marine & Southampton and Portsmouth Rib Charter together with the British Marine Professional Services Association are taking part in a sponsored conservational coastal walk along the fantastic Lymington coast on the 4th July.
We will be walking a 16km route along the coast whilst collecting rubbish and other marine pollutants. We will be raising funds for a charity that does amazing work in our industry, the Andrew Simpson Foundation, all whilst helping to protect our treasured coastline.
The Andrew Simpson Foundation’s drive is their belief that all young people can excel and succeed in life and work. They believe that the challenges of sailing and water-sports do this by promoting health and wellbeing whilst building essential life skills. These skills then enable young people to progress through education and into work.
It is important for us to keep our industry alive and introduce new young people to the world of sailing and water-sports, meanwhile doing what we can for our coastline.
We understand that budgets are tight but we really would welcome any spare pennies that you would be willing to donate to such a great cause.
