Story
On Tuesday 19th December, 11am, at Kings College Chapel in London, international Oud virtuoso Joseph Tawadros will be holding a 24-hour solo musical performance to raise money for Amos Trust's emergency appeal for Gaza.
The concert is free for anyone to attend over the 24 hour period and is a musical prayer vigil for those who are seeking some peace from the noise of the world.
This is an event for humanity, and we welcome everyone to come and enjoy the healing sounds of the oud in a beautiful setting.
"I want to create a safe space for people from all religions and backgrounds to come together, light a candle, and pray for those who need it most. Every life lost is equal, no matter what background, race, religion or creed, and we must come together, show our compassion and send love to those that are suffering. We must not underestimate the power of prayer and togetherness, and even though many of us may feel helpless, we cannot just give up. Over 24 hours, let us sit side by side, close our eyes and send out a beautiful energy that can be felt all around the world." - Joseph Tawadros
