Story
Hey everyone,
Having a home, a hot shower and a warm bed to get into every night is something that’s easy to take for granted yet most of us are lucky to have this. Its something i remind myself often to be truly greatful for.
As some of you may know, I have faced my own challenges with mental health. However, I recently decided to challenge myself by running a half marathon to show myself what I’m capable of and despite my doubts as a runner and with only 6 weeks training, I successfully completed it… and in pretty good time.
Now, I want to do something even more meaningful. I’ve decided to run another half marathon and this time use my running to raise funds for a great cause: helping those who are struggling with mental health issues, substance abuse, and homelessness.
Please help support those that are without a home in london by donating to the Single Homeless Project charity. Having a home is something so seemingly basic, it’s pretty heartbreaking to think that so many don’t have one. Any amount will be so appreciated.
Much love
Joe x

Note from the charity:
Each day across all 32 London boroughs, our staff work with individuals to tackle the underlying causes of homelessness, such as poor mental health or drug and alcohol dependency.
With 40 years of expertise and a London-wide reach, we make a difference to more than 10,000 lives every year.
Often that means being there for people at a critical time whether to prevent their eviction or help them off the street; to get them into drug or alcohol treatment or support them with their mental health; or to help them find a job and a flat so that they can take the final steps to living on their own.
Perhaps most important of all, our work restores hope to people who might otherwise feel forgotten, left behind or written off, providing crucial footholds in their recovery journey from which they can go on to build independent and fulfilling lives.
