Why We’re Raising Money

Our community is facing a growing challenge with plastic waste, particularly from discarded bottles. Instead of letting these plastics pollute our environment, we’ve envisioned a way to transform them into something useful and sustainable. That’s why we’ve started **A&J Tufting**, an initiative that turns plastic waste into high-quality tufted products like rugs, baskets, clothes, and bed covers.

To bring this vision to life, we need your support. We’re raising funds to purchase a **Polyfloss machine**, a cutting-edge device that melts and spins plastic waste into fibers. These fibers will be the foundation for crafting eco-friendly, durable, and beautiful products that will not only reduce plastic waste but also create jobs and promote sustainability in our community.

What the Funds Will Be Used For

The funds raised will go directly towards purchasing the Polyfloss machine, which costs 5 million Kenyan Shillings (KES). This machine will enable us to begin large-scale recycling efforts and production. Additionally, the funds will help cover the costs of essential accessories like tufting machines, materials for production, and other startup costs totaling 1,000,000 KES.

With this equipment, we will be able to:

- Recycle thousands of plastic bottles that would otherwise end up in landfills or water bodies.

- Create sellable products that support the local economy.

- Educate and employ people from our community, offering them skills and livelihoods through sustainable production.
