Story
John, Dave, Jay and I are going to be trundling through the tunnel on April 13 to raise money for Stick 'n' Step.
Stick 'n' Step supports children with cerebral palsy from across North Wales and the North West of England to help maximise their independence through providing free conductive education therapy. Since 2002 the charity has grown from strength to strength supporting over 100 children every week.
The race takes place almost exactly 11 years since my son Jamie was born at 30 weeks. He suffered significant bleeding on the brain at birth and was subsequently diagnosed with cerebral palsy. As a result, Jamie suffers from extreme muscle tightness in his legs and cannot stand or walk unaided. His regular Friday sessions at Stick 'n' Step are absolutely invaluable in helping him make the most of the mobility he has, and to help lessen the stiffness and pain he suffers from. Stick 'n' Step receive no funding from statutory bodies, but can continue helping families like mine thanks to the ongoing generosity of friends and supporters.
So go on, drop us a few quid, and I'll try not to get myself blown in the Mersey.
