Story
We'll be running 35k per week (roughly 5k per day) over the 79 days between 30th November and 16th Feb to raise funds for SPOONS, an organisation that provides essential support and services to families who experience neonatal care.
While we've been fortunate enough not to need their services myself, we've witnessed the incredible impact they have had on families going through the most painful and stressful moments imaginable.
The 79 day running challenge represents the number of days our friend's baby spent in neonatal care before thankfully joining her twin sister and the rest of her family at home.
You can read more about their story here:
Running 395k in just over two months from a worryingly low fitness base won't be easy, but it'll be easier than the pain felt by so many families requiring neonatal care every day. Organisations like SPOONS make their ordeal slightly more bearable, so let's help them help more people.
We're hoping to raise £300. Your donation will go a long way in supporting SPOONS' mission to alleviate stress and reduce isolation for families experiencing neonatal care. Let's come together to make a difference!
