Running the Manchester marathon in memory of my dad who we lost to a stroke last year.

Prior to him suffering his stroke I didn't know much at all about them, how they happen, treatment options and life after the stroke for survivors.

I know now that Scotland is behind in its available treatment, my dad had only one option which unfortunately never worked.

Hearing that it had failed and there was nothing else they can do was a feeling that will stay with me the rest of my life.

This is why I'd like to try raise a bit of money to hopefully help some people in Scotland affected by a stroke.
