Royal Parks Half Marathon 2024 · 13 October 2024 ·

Team CCLG is taking part in a number of half marathons in 2024 to raise vital funds for childhood cancer.

Story

When my nephew, Charlie, was 3-1/2 years old, he was diagnosed with leukemia. I will never forget the day. Thanks to the incredible treatment he received, he has been cancer-free for over 3 years! Seeing him now as an intelligent, resilient, fun-loving 10-year old, with fiery red hair, is amazing. He has an incredibly bright future, and our family is so grateful.

I will be running the Royal Parks Half Marathon in October as a celebration of my new(ish) home in London. I am excited to support the Children's Cancer and Leukaemia Group (CCLG), and hope you will consider donating to support this amazing charity and cause. See below for additional information about CCLG.

CCLG is a leading children's cancer charity and the UK and Ireland's professional association for those involved in the treatment and care of children with cancer.

Each week in the UK and Ireland, more than 30 children are diagnosed with cancer. We bring together professionals to ensure all children receive the best possible treatment and care. We support young patients and their families with our award winning, expert information. We fund and support research into childhood cancers.
