Story
On January 31st 2024 my brother Chris sadly passed away at age 44 from Haemochromatosis.
It is actually one of the most common genetic conditions yet hardly anyone understands or knows about it.
Many like my brother will go undiagnosed for most of their life and in some extreme cases like my brothers it can lead to death.
With more testing and awareness we can help prevent what happened to him and my family happening to others.
The charity Haemochromatosis UK have been so helpful with getting the rest of my family tested, giving advice to us and helping support our family through this time. They have done this free for us and it's through funding like this that they can continue to help other families in the future.
They are a small charity but have a big impact and they need more funding so they can help more people.
I am going to be running the Royal Parks Half in London which takes in some of the capital's world-famous landmarks, on closed roads and within four of London's eight Royal Parks - Hyde Park, The Green Park, St James's Park and Kensington Gardens.
This is on the 13th October 2024.
Please donate to help this cause and let's prevent what happened to Chris happening to anyone else.
Thank yo
