Running the London Marathon has been one of the things I’ve always wanted to do in my life. My son Louie has given me even more inspiration to do it. Despite only turning 1 in October 2023 he has already had to deal with so much in his short life so far. He is the bravest boy I know and everyday he is able to give so much inspiration and happiness to everyone around him. I would therefore like to raise as much money as possible in dedication to him for a very special charity.
The Down’s Syndrome Association (DSA) is a charity that has already provided a lot of help to me and my family. They are able to offer a lot of support and information, which has been very helpful through all the difficulties Louie has faced. It is the only charity in the UK that is there throughout the whole lifespan of somebody who has Down’s syndrome, from before birth, through to old age, and everything in between. Their aim is to enable people who have Down’s syndrome to live full and rewarding lives, and have been going for more than 50 years. Their confidential Helpline receives more than 10,000 calls each year and their team of specialist advisers and Information Officers can offer advice about any aspect of living with Down’s syndrome.
Thank you again for taking the time to read our page and if you have been kind enough to donate we are very grateful for your generosity.
