I am participating in the Great North Run 2024 for Derian House Children's Hospice in Chorley. This incredible organization provides care and respite for children with life limiting or life shortening conditions. Their dedication to supporting these children and their families is truly inspiring.

To continue providing their vital services to the babies, children, and families of the Northwest of England, Derian House Children's Hospice needs to raise over £6 million this year. Shockingly, less than 30% of this amount is covered by any statutory funding. That's why I am reaching out to you for support.

The Great North Run is one of the country's most well-known and successful runs. It's a half marathon that spans 13.1 miles through the city center and surrounding areas. On September 8, 2024, thousands of runners will embark on this challenging journey, including myself.

I have set a fundraising target of £1,000 for this event. Every contribution brings us closer to ensuring that Derian House Children's Hospice can continue providing essential care and respite to those who need it most.
