Manchester Marathon 2024
Our two hospital children's wards, Dolphin and Penguin, are dedicated to providing medical treatment for children from birth to 18 years of age. We also care for patients in our Panda high dependency area and Seahorse day surgery area.

Story

After 16 weeks of training, on Sunday April 14th I ran the Manchester marathon, finishing in a time of 4hrs 44mins 26secs.

I’ve taken so much from the event, i’d love to give something back! Please help raise some money to fund a sensory room on the children’s unit at Medway hospital.

Within the Swale and Medway area the ward helps over 700 children with extra medical needs and having a special area where they feel safe and secure whilst having their sensory needs met will enhance their experience of their hospital stay. They are looking to purchase some sensory play items and any donations towards this will be very gratefully received
