Story

On Sunday 8 October , Jonathan, Anne Marie, our niece: Charity, and Tavish will be running their first half marathon : the Royal Parks in London. (Actually it's the second time for Jonathan!).

Also during 2023, Charity and AnneMarie have decided to walk or jog 2800km between them - currently they are at a grand total of 1,506km

We are doing all this for a wonderful charity close to our hearts : Marie Curie. The Marie Curie nurses, specialists in palliative and end of life care, helped support someone very dear to us two years ago giving over night care.

They told us at the time that they had various people that had been referred to them but due to insufficient resources they had to prioritise care limiting the amount of nursing time available.

It would be wonderful to think that we can help other's access their kindness and care.

If you would like to help us to raise money for Marie Curie please do sponsor 'Team Bear'

£20 pays for one hour of vital nursing care at home for someone living with terminal illness.

£57 pays for an hour of clinical support from an expert nurse via our support line.

£180 pays for a whole night of care from a Marie Curie Nurse.
