Story
As you may already know I have taken on the challenge of running the London Marathon on April 27th! You may also know that I do like a run and have done a few halves… this however, turns out to be a totally different challenge 😬 and is feeling increasingly daunting. I will however, do it to my best and enjoy it… even the pre 6am freezing, moonlit training runs!
I have been given an opportunity to run for WellChild, they are a smaller charity who support sick children to come out of hospital and have their care at home. It’s a truly remarkable charity run by remarkable people and they need our help, so if you can spare anything and support me, and WellChild, whilst I take on this challenge it would be massively appreciated. You’ll also get to see me suffer during the winter months of training which can only be an added bonus! I am very proud though to be raising important funds for this important cause
WellChild Children's Nurses provide essential care and practical support to children and young people requiring long-term or complex care. They play a crucial role in enabling children to leave hospital and be cared for at home, reducing the practical, emotional and financial impact for families.
WellChild is also committed to funding high quality, innovative projects designed to have a positive impact for seriously ill children both now and in the future. This includes WellChilds Helping Hands programme which continues to go from strength to strength, working with volunteers from companies and organisations across the country to tackle essential projects in the homes of children with serious illness. Those volunteers provide the manpower and enthusiasm for projects such as bedroom and garden makeovers.
Thank you for visiting my Just Giving page, anything you can spare will make a difference.
