In Feb 2021, our family received news that our father, Quentin, had terminal cancer. By June, he had left us. Whilst cancer rips families apart, Hospiscare provides end of life dignity, care and support to anyone in need, to families like ours across Exeter, Mid and East Devon.
Whilst there’s nothing particularly special about running a half, and it won’t be as tough as the full Tallinn marathon… it’s a good opportunity to help a charity that does something special. It will also hurt, as new parenthood has not been conducive to any kind of physical prep.
Liana will be there to laugh at her daddy and eat ice creams. I last ran the Exeter half in 2008, let’s see how much worse I do…
