Story

Spinal Research is the UK’s leading charity funding medical research around the world to develop effective treatments for paralysis caused by spinal cord injury. There are an estimated 105,000 in the UK living with an injury.

In 2021 a close friend was involved in an accident which has left paralysed and with no sensation in the lower half of his body, read his story below.

Since the accident Dale has joined Spinal Research as Head of Operations and has given me the opportunity to push myself beyond anything I have ever done before and support the important research into Spinal injuries.

We receive no government funding and rely entirely on the support of the public to raise funds for our research. Because of the efforts of our supporters, we have funded innovative medical research that has achieved a number of ground breaking changes in the field.
