Hey,

My name is John and I am about to embark on a challenge that will see me attempt to travel overland for 14,000KM, starting in Aberdeen in Scotland, and travelling to Aberdeen in Hong Kong - all without forking out for any transport costs between stops.

I will be documenting this challenge on social media to share updates and raise awareness/funds for the UK charity Shout.

Shout provide an incredible text support service for young people and adults who are experiencing mental health related issues. Today, this service is more vital than ever before. This is evidenced in how someone gets in touch with Shout every 53 seconds, seeking a conversation that could literally save their life.

Like many others, I myself have been in need of this kind of service and I have also witnessed how mental health crises have torn apart the lives of others and their families, in the most tragic circumstances. Because of this, and because I understand how avoidable escalations can be when the right support is accessible, I am personally invested and committed to raising at least £7,500 to support the life-changing work that Shout do.

This is enough money to fund a clinician to provide expert supervision of conversations on Shout's digital mental health platform.

£250

This would cover the training of a much needed Shout Volunteer, to take life-saving conversations.
