Story

Now that we are both retired and well into our 60's, we both decided the best way to celebrate our 10 year anniversary of doing our first John'O'Groats to Lands End (JOGLE) cycle ride is to do it again

So on July 1st we will be heading north to Thurso by train and cycling the last 20 miles to John'O'Groats to start the ride on Sunday 2nd July. Twelve days later and approx 1000 miles we hope to have finished the ride safely at Lands End before cycling back to Penzance to get the train back to Peterborough.

John has promised not to treat the ride as a race and Dave has promised to keep off the pavements. The only danger we both have is trying to keep out of the coffee shops.

We will be totally unsupported, carrying all our kit on our bikes and are covering all the expenses ourselves so all donations will go directly to Help for Heroes.

As we have both previously been of the Services, any amount that you are able to donate will be very much appreciated both by ourselves and the unfortunate individuals benefiting from the charity.

Every day, men and women have to leave their career in the Armed Forces as a result of physical or psychological wounds. Your contribution is going to make that journey a little bit easier.
