Story
I’m walking 10k and raising money to help the British Red Cross be here for humanity.
I walked 24 miles for charity back when 14, boy was that hard on the feet I raised £5. Which back then to all millennials it was a working wage.
Several charity Half marathons and a few sprint distance charity triathlons later I am now at 71 still enjoy the idea of giving back. Although this is only a walk with my wife, grand daughter and our adopted springer spaniel Bonny. I am sure to enjoy the walk, company and that somehow I am helping.
So I hope you can see it within yourself to support the charity. For me 50p is ok £1 better and upwards if that is just brilliant.
Thanks for your support
In over 190 countries, they help anyone, anywhere, who needs them.
Whether it’s supporting people through the conflict in Ukraine, helping those whose homes have been destroyed by storms in the UK, or supporting people who’ve lost everything after the earthquakes in Türkiye and Syria, the British Red Cross strives to get them the help they need.
Please sponsor my walk. However much you can give, your donation will help people who desperately need support.
£5 could provide water sanitation and hygiene training that helps people to stay healthy after a disaster
£10 could provide mosquito nets to a family in Nigeria, protecting them from diseases like malaria.
£20 could pay for essentials for a new parent in the UK who’s lost everything during flooding.
I’m walking for humanity because I believe every person deserves help in times of crisis. Together, we are the world's emergency responders
