Climb for a Cause is a fundraising program at WNPF that gives climbers a once in a lifetime opportunity to climb Washington's iconic mountains while giving back to the parks.

Story

The American west is chock-a-block with iconic, jaw-dropping landscapes...and Washington is no exception. And some of those most special places are enshrined in our three national parks---North Cascades, Olympic and Mount Rainier. These land- and sea-scapes have given me so much that it's my turn to give back! And truth be told, they need our help.

I am climbing to raise funds for our parks through Washington's National Park Fund, the official nonprofit partner to this state's three parks. Donations fund 30-40 priority projects chosen by park staff every year, from search and rescue equipment to trail maintenance, wildlife studies and more. Over the last decade, we have awarded nearly $6 million to support the parks with your help. I have served on the Board of Directors for the past 6 years, and it has been an honor to support these special places.

I would be grateful for your financial support for my climb, which will take place August 12-14, 2024. Any amount will help these iconic places remain accessible, healthy and thriving for generations to come!
