Story
Climate change is a huge threat to the world's materially poor, especially those who farm the land. In Honduras, a partner of Methodist World Development and Relief – CASM- are teaching new methods of sustainable agriculture to achieve climate resilience, improved productivity and family nutrition. It seems right to us to encourage sponsoring of our staple food stuff – the humble potato- to raise money for those in Honduras to enable them to continue harvesting theirs. So we are asking you to sponsor our maincrop potatoes this year, per kilo of usable potatoes harvested. Last year we cropped approx. 45 kilograms from the same length of bed. Come late September or early October, we will declare our harvest and those who are closest to the actual harvested weight may come and collect a kilo of Drumhilla Garden’s Santanta spuds. Your sponsorship will help benefit those who have least. Thank you. John and Jan
