Fundraising for Age UK Waltham Forest
Hi everyone,
I’m thrilled to be running in the London Marathon on 27th April 2025! As I lace up my running shoes and hit the pavement, I’m doing it with a bigger goal in mind—raising vital funds for Age UK Waltham Forest.
Why I’m Fundraising:
Age UK Waltham Forest is an incredible charity that supports older people in my local community in Waltham Forest. I became aware of the charity and the great work they do when my wife Liz started working there.
They provide essential services such ;
- Independent living support which includes, handyperson, help at home and footcare (I might need this after the run),
- Befriending,
- Information and advice,
- and lots of different activities across the borough.
All these projects ensure that our older neighbours can live independently and with dignity. The funds I raise will go directly towards these programmes, helping to make a real difference in the lives of those who need it most.
Running the London Marathon is a huge personal goal and I'm grateful to Age UK Waltham Forest for helping me fulfil this ambition. Knowing that every step I take will benefit such a worthy cause makes it all the more meaningful. With your support, we can ensure that Age UK Waltham Forest continues to offer these life-changing services.
Please consider donating to my fundraising page—every donation, big or small, will help me reach my goal and support this fantastic charity.
Thank you for your generosity and encouragement!
