Haven't done anything for Charity for a while, so with my late entry to a corporate event as part of a new role I am taking on from this summer, I am joining a team of 3 other people to participate in the Samworth Brothers Charity Challenge, a 9hr adventure race through the lake district that will see us kayaking, mountain biking and running, whilst orienteering our way around multiple check points.

My teammates are: Simon Coupe, Julia Coupe and Neil Lawrie. We are all sharing this Just Giving page so sponsoring any of us here goes towards the same total!

None of thr 4 of us has ever completed in anything like this before and the using of a compass really does scare us!

But, when you are wanting to raise some money for an amazing cause, you have to take yourself out of your comfort zone. For this event we have chosen 'Pancreatic Cancer UK', which as you know I have raised money for in the past.

A bit about PCUK...

It’s unacceptable that more than half of people diagnosed with pancreatic cancer die within 3 months. Survival rates have improved enormously for most cancers, yet for pancreatic cancer, this is not the case.

Pancreatic Cancer UK is dedicated to taking on this injustice using every possible means. They're supporting people with pancreatic cancer now, campaigning, and funding vital research to transform the future. Help them to make the breakthroughs that people with pancreatic cancer so desperately need.
