Story
We are John and Michael – two Southwark Labour councillors – taking part in the Jo Cox Way, where we’ll be joining a group of over 80 riders to cycle nearly 300 miles from Jo's constituency in West Yorkshire to London.
Jo Cox was a passionate campaigner, activist and humanitarian; a proud Yorkshire lass and internationalist; and a devoted mum, daughter, sister, wife, friend and MP. Like Jo herself - we believe that we have more in common than that which divides us. Over five days, the group - from a range of different backgrounds and different cycling abilities - will bring Jo's more in common message to life.
We are fundraising for The Jo Cox Foundation as part of this challenge. The Jo Cox Foundation is a small charity with a big impact and was founded to make meaningful change on issues Jo was passionate about. Everything that you donate will go to their work to bring the more in common message to life. So please give what you can to help them to achieve even more change in Jo's memory – and keep us going as we cycle down the country and finish the journey in Southwark.
