Fundraising for St Andrew's Children's Society
On May 25th, I'll be pounding the footpaths at the Edinburgh Marathon Festival, taking on the 10K challenge to raise vital funds for St Andrews Children's Society (SACS).
SACS is an incredible charity that has been dedicated to transforming the lives of vulnerable children living in Scotland through adoption and foster care for over 100 years. They aim to ensure all children grow up in a safe and loving home. Many of the children who are adopted and fostered have experienced trauma and as a result, they and their adoptive and foster care families need ongoing support. As a voluntary adoption and fostering agency, SACS relies on fundraising to pay for the support they offer their amazing families. Consequently, their work transforms the lives of vulnerable children, and I'm passionate about supporting their cause.
Why £400?
My initial fundraising goal was £100, but with help from my amazing community of family and friends we have already smashed beyond that, so I thought why not aim higher! I tried £250 and beat that so let'd try and get up to £400! Maybe we can even beat this target and raise much more! Every penny donated will go directly towards providing help and support to adoptive and foster families
Here's how you can help:
Donate: Please donate whatever you can, big or small. Every contribution brings me closer to the finish line and makes a real difference in the lives of children supported by SACS.
Spread the word: Share my fundraising page with your friends, family, and colleagues. The more people who know about SACS and the amazing work they do, the better!
Together, we can make a difference!
Running this 10K is a personal challenge for me, but it's nothing compared to the challenges faced by the children that SACS supports. With your help, I can cross that finish line knowing that we've made a positive impact on the lives of these vulnerable children.
Thank you for your time and support!
John
