In the final weeks of her life, Johanna was very grateful to the Midhurst Palliative Care team for their support. She looked forward to their visits and they told us that she was their ‘favourite patient’ (we’re sure they say this to all their patients but like to believe it was actually true with Joh!)

The support from the Midhurst Palliative Care team meant that Joh could remain at home right up until the end, and was able to avoid going to a hospital or hospice (which was her fervent desire!) The team also supported us as a family, and allowed us to enjoy our final weeks with her without having to be her sole care providers, giving us helpful tips and advice in an otherwise difficult and confusing time.
