Story

In March 2025 I will be trekking 100km across the Sahara Desert with an intrepid team put together by Carter the Brave (CTB) - a charity which supports childhood cancer.

This trek is part of a series of incredible events organised by CTB, aimed at making a meaningful impact at Birmingham Children's Hospital Charity.

They are dedicated to supporting specific projects that directly benefit the children. Since 2016 CTB have provided essential medical equipment, entertainment devices, and financial support to various initiatives including:

-Handsfree Vocera system

-3 x IV Vein Finders

-2 x Mobile Ear & Throat Devices

-DVD players & DVDs

-2 x iPad & Covers

-1,500 Amazon vouchers

-£8,600 to Round Table Children’s Wish

-7 x Game Stations

-CTB Fellowship Research Fund

-2 x Chemo CADD Pumps

Your generous contributions will help them continue their mission to make a positive difference in the lives of these children.

Your support is greatly appreciated.

Thank you.

About the charity

It's bewildering and unsettling for anyone going into hospital but especially for children and that is why we are a fundraising hospital. We raise funds to enhance the experience of our patients by providing state of the art medical equipment and facilities and creating a child-friendly environment.
