Story
Thames Valley Air Ambulance, thank you.
On November 15th 2022, my world was turned upside down. That was the night we were told it would take a miracle for my Mum to wake up... but Thames Valley Air Ambulance, everyone at the NHS, the man on his way home who pulled my Mum out of the car and started CPR, and my Mum's inner strength were that miracle.
Out of nowhere, with no prior indication, my Mum had a sudden cardiac arrest at the wheel which resulted in a head-on collision.
The team at Thames Valley Air Ambulance arrived at the scene to treat my Mum before staying by her side all the way to hospital, and for some time there too. One of them even became an anaesthetist until one was available!
Four days later, on my birthday, my Mum was able to say her first words to me from the ICU. By Christmas, we were together at home again. Paramedics will tell you it was a miracle and it was.
It is still hard to put this all into words and I can't thank everyone enough who helped to save my Mum's life and support myself and my family throughout that period.
Particularly as we enter the winter months, knowing that all funds raised will support a charity that saved my Mum's life betters any possible motivation.
Thames Valley Air Ambulance are funded solely through charitable donations, so please give generously.
Thank you.
