The Tour 21 in 2025 will see a team of 25 amateur cyclists take on all 21 stages of the 2025 Tour de France route, one week ahead of the professional race - with the aim of raising over £/$1million for Cure Leukaemia.

Story

This coming summer I will be tackling all 21 Stages of the 2025 Tour de France Route on behalf of Tour 21 to help raise money for drug trial research for Cure Leukaemia. I am honored to be part of a team of 25 amateur cyclists as we look to complete the full Tour de France route one week ahead of the professionals.

My mom was diagnosed with Breast Cancer in 2019, then diagnosed with terminal Leukaemia on July 27th, 2020 and given just a couple of months to live. She has fought hard for 4.5 years, but the end is getting very close

Did you know that every 27 seconds someone across the world is diagnosed with a form of blood cancer. Approximately 40,000 people will be diagnosed during the time that I will be in the saddle riding the Tour 21 event.

Cure Leukaemia funds a network of specialist nurses conducting clinical trials, the results of which are shared around the world, including throughout the US, and these results shift the dial on how blood cancer can be treated now and in the future.

I will be doing something called "Today I Ride For" where I ride a stage of Tour 21 in honor of someone who is currently fighting the disease, who has won their battle with leukemia, or someone who has passed on to angel status. My friend Keith Knowles developed this concept when he rode Tour 21 this past summer and it was an amazing way to honor people. This was the episode that featured my friend Keith and really dove into the "Today I Ride For" concept. It was a very emotional video and really captured the true spirit of the ride.

I will be riding Stage 12 of the 2025 Tour for my Mom. Stage 12 goes through Lourdes, which was a place that we visited together in 1984 on a trip to France. When they officially announced the route in late October, my Mom and I were both excited that the Tour was going to pass through Lourdes. Kind of like it was meant to be.

I am not limiting "Today I Ride For" to people who are just fighting leukemia, a blood cancer. If you have someone you know who is battling cancer of ANY form (Breast cancer, lung cancer, prostate cancer, etc.) I would be glad to ride a stage in their honor. To have a stage ridden for someone I am asking for a $500 donation, however you could have five people each donate $100, or you could have 10 people donate $50 to get to the $500 and have a stage ridden in their name.

Starting in Lille, The Tour 21 will take place across June and July and will tackle all 21 grueling stages and over 2,100 miles of the Tour de France route - one of the world's hardest sporting challenges.

In addition to my mom I will be riding for several other people.

My step son Josh, lost his friend Douglas at age 16 to Leukaemia.

My high school friend, Eddie who has successfully fought and beaten Leukaemia.

I want to raise money and ride in honor of all those who have fought the disease, bravely and with strength whether they won their battle or ascended to Angel status.

My friend Keith rode Tour 21 in 2024 and he summed it up perfectly when he said "Riding a bicycle is hard, but fighting the disease is even harder"

Please donate to this worthy cause and help us find a cure for blood cancers. Money donated here goes directly to Cure Leukaemia. Any expenses associated with the trip and my ride will be covered by me. It is important to me that people know the money you donate is going to drug trials and not to ANY expenses associated with the event.

Note: Corporate donations also accepted and corporate sponsorship can also be arranged (Logos on team clothing, team bus, event signage etc). Tour 21 receives television coverage on NBC Sports - Peacock during the airing of the actual 2025 Tour de France race in the United States.

People can also donate by check.

All funds raised will be invested directly into the national Trials Acceleration Program (TAP) network which Cure Leukaemia funds to open and run clinical trials for pioneering treatments for the disease, giving over 20 million people access to potentially life-saving treatments. I'm privledged to ride 2,100 miles of one the most iconic sporting events there is, a true dream come true for any cyclist, but my reward for finishing on the Avenue des Champs-Élysées will not come from what I do, but from what YOU do to support Cure Leukaemia. Thank you.
