The Phi Delt chapter at Texas State is back and growing. There are about 30 members this spring and they are working hard to meet the requirements to have the chapter fully initiated by the national organization. There is a chapter advisory board comprised of alumni that are providing guidance to the officers and working to keep them on track.

This means that we are also on a path to bring the Tommy Raffen Memorial Scholarship back to the fraternity in the spring of 2025. Our goal is to be able to make a $15,000 award to the most outstanding Texas Mu Phi Delt that will be charged with carrying on Tommy’s legacy on campus. We’ve got some work to do to build support and raise some money.

We are planning a fundraising campaign that will run from May 9 – 20 to coincide with the anniversary of Tommy’s death.

When that time comes, would you be willing to make a donation? I’d like to line up a handful of commitments in advance that we can secure on the first day of the campaign to show momentum and encourage other brothers to contribute.
