Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page. We are going to be hiking Ben Nevis at the end of July (or start of August depending on weather) in aid of Dementia UK.

As found by the Office for National Statistics; in 2022, collectively Dementia and Alzheimer's disease were the leading cause of death in 2022. Together, they accounted for 65967 deaths (11.4% of the total), up from 61250 (10.4%) in 2021. As such, many people and their families are impacted every year, and the likelihood is that yourself or somebody you know have witnessed this firsthand.

We are immensely grateful for any donations which can help us raise money for Dementia UK who provide support to the individuals and families affected by Dementia; through specialist admiral nursing care. When things get challenging or difficult for people with dementia and their families, Admiral Nurses work alongside them, giving the compassionate one-to-one support, expert guidance and practical solutions that can be difficult to find elsewhere.

Like many others, we have been impacted, and we intend to honour this trek on behalf of our Nana; Christine Price, whom we sadly lost in November 2021. This is why it is so important to us to complete this trek in aid of Dementia UK, as your help allows this amazing charity to continue to support those affected by dementia.
